The City of Corinaldo in association with the Carafòli Family, the City of Senigallia – Culture Office, Pro-Loco Corinaldo and Pozzo Della Polenta organisations, announces the 34th edition of the prize photographic contest “The most beautiful town in the world”, inspired by a Mario Carafòli (1902-1985) book, which the author dedicated to his birth place, Corinaldo.
The contest aims to select those pictures which best represent the natural, affective and cultural relationship linking men to the place they inhabit, work, suffer and enjoy.
The contest also features three special sections devoted to: “City of Corinaldo”, “The contention of the Polenta well” (an historical festival which will take place in Corinaldo on the 13th, 14th of July 2019) and “City of Senigallia – Velvet Beach”. This last section has been created to honour the relationship that existed between Carafòli himself and the City of Senigallia, where in the 30s he created the well-known slogan for the seaside vacation resort. The pictures concerning the 3rd section (“The contention of the Polenta well”) must be submitted in digital format.
The works of art must be sent at the expenses of the sender, in a form suitable for return package or handed in to the Culture Office of Corinaldo by 12 a.m September 16, 2019.
